Hi everyone! I'm Holly Jergens, and I'm excited to kick off the very first discussion in The Lift & Learn Collective.

One of the things I love most about TILT is that we all bring different experiences, perspectives, and lessons to the table. This community is all about learning from one another, so let's start by sharing something that's shaped the way we think.

What's one book, podcast, article, or other resource that has had an impact on you-and why?

What was your biggest takeaway? Did it change how you approach leadership, communication, your career, or even life outside of work?

After you share your recommendation, take a few minutes to read someone else's post and leave a comment. Ask a question, share a similar experience, or let them know if you've read it too. Great conversations start when we build on each other's ideas.

I'm looking forward to hearing what has inspired you-and discovering a few new favorites along the way!

One of the best books I've read recently is Shoe Dog by Phil Knight.

I expected it to be a story about building Nike, but it ended up being much more than that. It's an honest look at entrepreneurship, leadership, perseverance, and the reality that successful organizations are often built through years of uncertainty, setbacks, and tough decisions rather than a straight path to success.

One of my biggest takeaways was that great leaders don't have all the answers—they keep moving forward, adapt when things don't go as planned, and surround themselves with people who challenge and complement them.

If you're interested in leadership, business, or just a really engaging story, I'd definitely recommend it.
